Sofimation ends SOFI simulator production 22.8.2008

Helsinki, July 21, 2008 - Sofimation Managing Director Mr. Antti Hakala
announced the intention to cease the production of SOFI Radio Channel Simulators,
becoming effective August 22, 2008.

The end of production plan affects products SOFI 03, 05 and 06.
The SOFI fading simulators are used by mobile phone and base-station developers.

The reason for the decision is economical and it is made by CEO Mr. Antti Hakala.
The calibration and repair services do continue until further notice.
The SOFI products are not manufactured, developed or software supported
from August 22, 2008 onwards when the specification will be frozen.

Delivered units with still valid warranty (serial number > 236)
will get the first priority in service.

Please order necessary additional units, calibrations and repairs as soon as possible,
preferably before August 22,2008.

Please use email or fax when contacting Sofimation, due to time constraint.
Service contracts that have not been renewed since this announcement are no longer renewable.
Existing service contracts with Sofimation will be taken care of - some delivery delays may occur.

Please note that after August 22, 2008 you may also ask calibrations to be made
by the other 3rd party company than Sofimation in Helsinki, Finland.
